Visit of thed delegation of St.Petersburg to Baku
Baku/02.03.23/Turan: Within the framework of cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and St. etersburg, the delegation of the northern capital of the Russian Federation is on a visit to Baku on March 2-4.
According to the press service of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan, the delegation headed by the first deputy head of the Committee on Foreign Relations of St. Petersburg Sergey Markov and representatives of the cultural and scientific community will take part in a number of events under the general title "Celebrating Maslenitsa together with St. Petersburg".
Representatives of St. Petersburg will also give lectures on ethnography for teachers and students of the Azerbaijan University of Languages. Competitions in urban sports will also be organized - these games are an integral part of Maslenitsa.
Performances of St. Petersburg are scheduled for March 3 and 4. The St. Petersburg Theater "Cloudberry" on the stages of the Academic Russian Drama Theater named after Samad Vurgun and the Opera Studio of the Baku Music Academy. There will be an Azerbaijani performance in national costumes.
Along with the concert program, representatives of the theater will conduct classes and master classes in dance and playing musical instruments for visitors.
On March 3 and 4, a representative of the Academy of Crafts (Saint‑St. Petersburg) will hold master classes in decorative and applied arts, where participants will master the painting of traditional symbols of Maslenitsa.
In addition, events are planned in the line of bilateral cooperation between partner cities to discuss issues of expanding cooperation. ---06B---
