Yasəmən Hotel, a vivid evidence of the rich cultural heritage of Azerbaijan

In a significant event that marked the ongoing restoration and revitalization efforts in Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva graced the grand opening of the Yasəmən Hotel in Shusha on November 7. The Yasəmən Hotel, a poignant testament to the rich cultural heritage and historical significance of the region, is a striking addition to the landscape of the city.

The President and the First Lady were given a comprehensive overview of the hotel's amenities and the meticulous attention to detail that went into its restoration. The Yasəmən Hotel, a project spearheaded by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, stands as a shining example of the commitment to restoring the territories liberated after a three-decade-long occupation.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been at the forefront of the restoration and creative initiatives undertaken by Azerbaijan in the liberated regions under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership. These projects encompass the revival of religious, historical, and cultural monuments, including mosques, in the ancient Karabakh land. Among the remarkable endeavors of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Karabakh are the restoration and reconstruction of the Agdam Juma Mosque, the Zangilan City Mosque, the mosques of Ashagy Govhar Agha and Yukhara Govhar Agha, Saatli, the Mamaya Spring, the museum and mausoleum complex of the Panakh Vagif Mall, the Mehmandarov estate Complex, the Creative Center, the Uzeyir Hajibeyli House Museum, and various other historical and cultural landmarks in Shusha, including the construction of a new mosque in the city.

One of the most recent accomplishments in this extensive series of projects is the Yasəmən Hotel, which was unveiled in Shusha on the eve of a historic Victory anniversary. The hotel stands as a testament to the revival of the region's architectural heritage, as it was meticulously restored in an authentic style that transports visitors to medieval Shusha.

The Yasəmən Hotel comprises two buildings housing double, twin, and junior rooms, a restaurant, and several terraces. What sets this hotel apart is its garden and courtyard, meticulously designed to reflect the aesthetic of a bygone era, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the historical ambiance of the city. The terrace offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Mehmandarov estate complex and the city itself. The hotel's interior design and rooms are distinguished by their originality, with every element carefully selected to evoke nostalgic sentiments among its guests.

During their tour of the Yasəmən Hotel, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva also received updates on the forthcoming restoration projects planned for the upper part of the Mehmandarov estate complex.

A touching gesture of their visit was the planting of a lilac bush in the hotel's courtyard by the head of state and the first lady, symbolizing hope, rejuvenation, and the enduring spirit of the Azerbaijani people.

Following the liberation of Shusha from occupation, the city has witnessed a rapid transformation, with the opening of notable establishments such as the Karabakh and Harybulbul hotels, as well as the Shusha Hotel and Congress Center complex. Now, with the inauguration of the Yasəmən Hotel, the historical tapestry of Shusha shines brighter than ever, offering a warm welcome to guests from around the world,  reported by the website of the President of Azerbaijan.
