The prosecutor's office is not investigating the rape?

Baku/13.10.21/Turan: Sanay Gahramanli (Yagmur), daughter of prominent politician and deputy chairman of the Party of People's Front of Azerrbaijan (PPFA)declared that she had been sexually abused by her cousin Asker Agayev. She wrote about it in her Facebook account.

Later, the details of what happened were disclosed on Facebook by writer Zumrud Yagmur, mother of the victim.

She accused the prosecutor's office that the perpetrator was still unpunished.

Yagmur said that a year ago a criminal case was filed due to the incident on charges of rape in an unconscious state (Article 149 of the Criminal Code).

However, according to her, the prosecutor's office refused to investigate the rape.

Yagmur claims that on the night Sanay was raped a drug was put in her drink.

Are the prosecutors really unwilling to investigate the rape? If so, for what reason?

These and other questions were answered by writer Zumrud Yagmur, mother of Sanay Yagmur, in the "Tough Question" program.

According to her, the fact of the crime is clear, as confirmed by expert opinions. There are two conclusions about the sexual violence against Sanay. However, the prosecutor of the Yasamal district, Elman Suleymanov, is trying "to let the case go under the radar".

The writer assumes that what is happening is political revenge. "Elman Suleymanov is closely connected to the head of Dashkesan region executive power Ahad Abiev", - she stated. At the same time she didn't name any reasons which could have prompted Ahad Abiyev and Elman Suleymanov to take revenge on her and her daughter (especially in such an ugly way).

According to Zumrud Yagmur, the day before she was contacted by Mahir Abbasov, Assistant Prosecutor General for Special Assignments, and promised that by order of Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev the Sanay Gahramanly's case would be withdrawn from Yasamal district prosecutor's office and taken under control.-0-
