Accounting Chamber Decides on State Investment Program

Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov recently convened with Alessandra Roccasalvo, the Acting Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Azerbaijan, to explore avenues for bolstering long-term cooperation in the energy sector. Discussions centered on advancing collaboration in green energy technologies, promoting energy efficiency, and aligning efforts with Azerbaijan's chairmanship of COP29.

The 4th meeting of the Joint Azerbaijani-Saudi Business Council convened in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, showcasing a commitment to bolstering economic ties between the two nations. Organized by the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SBA) and the Federation of Chambers of Saudi Arabia, the event attracted officials and businessmen from both Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.

On April 30, the third meeting of the Economic Cooperation Forum of the League of Arab States, Central Asia, and the Republic of Azerbaijan convened, marking a significant step toward deepening the collaborative ties among these regions. The forum, highlighted by the presence of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, underscored the growing strategic alliances focused on enhancing diplomatic and economic relations.

The Entrepreneurship Development Fund (EDF) of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy has reported a significant increase in its financial activities for 2023, emphasizing its enhanced support for the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector. According to a report released by the Ministry, the fund's operating income surged by 53 percent from the previous year to reach 20.779 million manats.
