The new Board meeting of the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan presented reports on budget execution in the State Commission for Student Admission and territorial tax office №14 of the Ministry of Taxes.
As a result of inspections in the student committee, recommendations were made, while the results of the audit of the tax office were sent to the Ministry and the Parliament. This means that the tax authorities did not provide expectations for the implementation of the target and did not fulfill complete and timely payment of taxes by taxpayers. Percentage of forced payment of taxes in the fiscal authority was too high.
The Audit Chamber doubts the reality of the claimed reduction in the profitability of large taxpayers and advises the tax authorities to strengthen preventative measures in order to maintain the previous level of funding the state budget revenues.
The Azerbaijani Accounting Chamber, accountable to the parliament, has been operating from 7 December 2001, as a body controlling the state budget expenditure. The managerial personnel (members of the Board, which consists of Chairman, his deputy and seven auditors) is elected every 7 years.
This entity is usually limited to generalities about the Board meeting, without giving specific figures or data. According to Article 6.0.3 of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic On Obtaining Information (Basic Principles of Information), the disclosure of information on budget revenues and expenditures is the responsibility of government agencies, including the Chamber of Accounts. --17D-
