During the period from March 23 to March 29, the political agenda in Azerbaijan was shaped by the ongoing escalation around Iran, the intensification of foreign policy diplomacy, and a number of domestic and international processes.

During the period from March 16 to March 22, Azerbaijan’s political agenda was shaped by two primary dynamics: ongoing regional tensions surrounding Iran and the launch of internal institutional reforms. At the same time, the week coincided with the beginning of Novruz and Ramadan celebrations, adding a socio-symbolic dimension to the overall landscape.

From March 2 to March 8, the political agenda in Azerbaijan was largely shaped by three directions: decisions in the sphere of public administration and infrastructure, the intensification of energy diplomacy with Europe, and a sharp tightening of the agenda in the areas of security and foreign policy after a drone strike on Nakhchivan on March 5. Beginning in the second half of the week, the domestic political tone shifted toward issues of security, sovereignty, and international support.
