AZAL intends to buy 10 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft
The JSC "Azerbaijan Airlines" (AZAL) intends to expand its fleet in the coming years. These issues are discussed in the framework of participation of the Azerbaijani delegation headed by the president of AZAL Jahangir Asgarov at the International Air Show Farnborough Airshow-2016 in the UK. According to the press-service of the company, the Azerbaijani side has held talks with major aircraft manufacturers as the Boeing, "Ilyushin", "Antonov" and others. At a meeting with the senior vice-president of Boeing Martin Bentrott and Director of Sales Corporation Serdar Gurz was discussed the possibility of delivery in 2018-2020's ten Boeing 737 MAX aircrafts. The parties discussed the issue of financing of the project.
On the same day was held the third round of talks with the head of the Board of the Corporation "Ukrainian Aviation Company" Mikhail Gvozdev and the President of the State Enterprise "Antonov" Alexander Kotsuba project of production and maintenance of transport aircraft An-178 on the territory of Azerbaijan.
There were also talks between the President of CJSC "Azerbaijan Airlines" Jahangir Asgarov and Director General of JSC "Ilyushin Finance Co". Alexander Rubtsov on transfer to leasing of aircraft MS-21. In June the parties signed a memorandum of intent for the transfer in the lease of ten new MS-21 medium-haul aircraft. Delivery is scheduled for 2019-2020 years.
At this meeting was signed a contract for the supply of financial leasing in the world's largest series of cargo aircraft An-124-100 (Ruslan). Agreement with the participation of Jahangir Askerov and the president of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) was signed by President George Slusar Silk Way Holding 3aur Akhundov and General Director of JSC "Ilyushin Finance Co" Alexander Rubtsov.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
