Azerbaijan-China Business Forum Held
Baku / 06.02.18 / Turan: The Azerbaijan-China Business Forum was held in Beijing on February 6. The Azerbaijani delegation, consisting of officials and businessmen, was headed by the Minister of Economy, Shaheen Mustafayev.
The press service of the Ministry of Economy informs that the event took place with the joint organization of the Export and Investment Promotion Fund of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO), as well as the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Chinese Council of Propaganda of International Trade.
The business forum was attended by entrepreneurs involved in industry, construction, transport, logistics, investment, chemistry, and textile.
Speaking at the event, Shaheen Mustafayev noted that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to the development of relations with China and is interested in expanding cooperation in all areas.
Within the framework of the One Belt - One Way Initiative, good ground can be created for using the potential of the Trans-Caspian Trade and Transport Corridor East-West, especially in the areas of economy, investment, trade, transit, and expansion of cooperation in these areas . In 2017, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and China increased by 43%, amounting to $ 1.2 billion. Exports to this country grew 2.1 times," the Minister said.
Bilateral meetings between the participants of the business forum were held.
Within the framework of the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Azerbaijani and Chinese companies. -0-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
