Azerbaijan Registers 34,597 Legal Entities and Individuals with Electronic Signature
In the first half of the year Azerbaijan registered 34,597 legal entities and individuals who have an "electronic signature".
According to the report on the website of Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of AR, the majority of them (20 865) account for government officials. This is followed by the citizens – 7 595, while the other 6 137 are assigned to legal entities.
Since the June 2013 the number of visits to electronic services amounted to 12,771,853 clicks, from which 2,077,613 people benefited.
By July 1, a simplified code-password access to the portal was received by 245,458 users.
In the past month, most applications were related, as usual, to services rendered by the State Commission on Student Admission, the Ministry of Communications and High-tech, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, and the State Social Protection Fund. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
