Azerbaijan starts exporting electricity to Turkey
JSC "Georgian State Electricity System" is serving as a transit corridor in both directions - from Russia to Armenia and from Azerbaijan to Turkey. According to Turan, with reference to the portal "Georgia Online", on 5 February began the transit of electricity from Russia to Armenia, where the daily average of 30 megawatts of power being transferred. On 7 February began the transit of electricity of about 80 megawatts from Azerbaijan to Turkey.
As a result of the two transits Georgia each month will receive about 1 million lari income (about $ 250 thousand, at the current rate)," stated in the "State electric power system of Georgia."
