Azerbaijan to have its own protection against Internet viruses
Azerbaijani experts are developing a system for Internet virus protection - Malware Report.
As stated in the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) of the State Agency for Special Communications and Information Security Special State Protection Service of Azerbaijan (http://www.cert.gov.az), the Malware Report program’s function is antivirus protection and it allows transferring malicious and suspicious files directly to the laboratory CERT (Malware Lab). There the files are analyzed and a report is made to the user, based on the results.
One of the advantages of the software solution would be to inform users about the threats and vulnerabilities, as well as providing them with the necessary information to counter external threats.
The program is intended for all users of the Azerbaijani segment of the Internet. In the future it is possible that the software CERT will contain all the features of full antivirus software. -17D-
