Azerbaijan to increase gas export to Turkey
From January to April 2016 Azerbaijan exported 2,259,096,000 cub.m. of gas to Turkey as a part of the Shah Deniz Phase 1 field development. Import of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey increased by 39.8 mcm or by 1.8% against the same period in 2015.
According to the monthly report of the Turkish Council for Energy Market Regulation, in April 2016 Azerbaijan exported 546,018,000 cub.m. of gas to Turkey, up 15.99 mcm against April 2015.
In April 2016 3.08 bcm of gas was imported to Turkey via pipeline. 17.7% of import was Azerbaijani gas and the remaining was gas imported from Iran and Russia.
According to EPDK, in 2015 Azerbaijani gas export to Turkey totaled 6,168,068,000 cub.m.

According to the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee, from January to April 2016 2,545,040,000 cub.m. of gas was exported via the Southern Caucasian pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum). Gas extracted on the Shah Deniz field is also exported to the Georgian market. 5% of gas pumped to Turkey is handed over to Georgia.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
