Azerbaijanis spend more than 60% of the minimum consumer basket on food
Life is expensive, the minimum consumer basket per worker Azerbaijanis as of January 1, was worth 172.48 manats (AZN 3.5 higher than a month earlier.) To pensioners it costs 154.64, and children under 14 pay 209.94 manat.
The alternative report by experts of the Center for Economic Research says able-bodied citizens spend 106.97 AZN, pensioners - 94.21 AZN, and children - 116.15 manat on food.
Non-food products respectively demands 39.98 manat, 37.82 manat and 76.06 manat costs. Spent on services is 25.48 manat, 22.61 manat and 17.73 manat respectively. Calculations wre made on the basis of the methodology the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan on 30 April 2009.
Recall that under the law of Azerbaijan "On the cost of living in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2012," the average cost of living is defined in AZN 108, including AZN for working-age population, AZN 84 for pensioners and AZN 87 for children. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
