Azerbaijan"s economy is still dependent on exports of raw materials
Foreign trade turnover in the first half of the year, decreased insignificantly compared to the same period of last year (-0.16%), to $ 17 billion 144 million 522.7 thousand.
The positive difference between exports and imports is $ 6 billion 795 million 586.28 million (minus 17.7%.)
From export operations were received a total $ 11 billion 970 million 54.49 million (minus 5.83%), and imports - $ 5 billion 174 million 468.21 million (16.01.)
Oil (83.04%), oil products (5.35%) and natural gas (3.86%) together accounted for 92.25% of the proceeds from all export transactions, which once again demonstrates the country's dependence on oil. The remaining positions are unimportant. Thus, the share of sugar exports fell 1.03%, fruit and vegetable products - 0.76%, tea (0.17%), vegetable oil and animal (0.97%), alcohol and soft drinks (0.12%) , chemical products (0.27%), cotton fiber (0.1%), ferrous metals and metal products (0.48%), aluminum products (0.36%).
In the structure of imports the leaders are machine, machinery, electrical equipment, machinery and spare parts - 25.96%, vehicles and spare parts - 15.08%, and ferrous metals and thuings made of it - 12.55%. These are all products with high added value.
Food comprised 9.86%, tobacco and tobacco products - 3.06%, cement - 1.38%, pharmaceuticals - 2.33%, wood and wood products - 3.07%, furniture - 0.73%.
In the foreign trade operations in the reporting period were involved 3,067 public and private companies and 1,719 individuals. - 17D-
