Azercell continues supporting talented students
Azercell Telecom - the leader of Azerbaijan's mobile telecommunications market has joined labor fairs, organized at Azerbaijan Technical University and Khazar University during April, 30 - May, 1.
Over 1000 students and graduates got an excellent opportunity to learn of the labor market needs, their field of specialization to communicate with their potential employers, where as the latter got the choice to select between qualified personnel that meet today's employment requirements.
At the same time, it was a good chance for employers to select potential employees. Azercell, actively participating in career fairs organized for students and graduates every year in the country, had a separate stand in the fair. Company representatives organized information sessions for graduates desiring to get employed by Azercell.
The representatives also responded to numerous questions of the participants, gave advice for the youth willing to join the company. The company also established a special e-mail account for inquiries. In addition, the graduates were informed about current vacancies at Azercell. We would like to note that Azercell Telecom continuously helps talented youth to build career and find their places in the labor market. With its own initiative, Azercell has organized Career Days on a regular basis.
During the event, the youth striving to join the company meet with the Azercell officials and get information about company activities. Under the Student Bursary program of the company, capable youth studying at Azerbaijani universities get a great opportunity to receive special bursary from Azercell and take internship at various divisions of the company. Besides, many projects conducted by the company are related to education. Furthermore, Azercell cooperates with the leading universities and helps to improve their material and technical bases.
With the initiative of the company, first 4G laboratory was established at Gafgaz University. Azercell will continue to provide its support towards skilled youth in building successful career.

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR signed a memorandum of cooperation with North Macedonian company ECM on Thursday, during a visit to Baku by North Macedonia's President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, an informed source told Turan.

Discussions were held in Baku within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, focusing on the "Decarbonization and Climate Adaptation of the Cotton-to-Clothing Value Chain." Among other topics, the state of cotton farming in Azerbaijan was also addressed.

Azerbaijan has attracted significant interest from companies in both developing and developed countries, as well as from state and private sector representatives of at least 10 nations, regarding participation as shareholders in the Climate Finance Action Fund (CFAF), which has a total budget of $1 billion. The CFAF is one of Azerbaijan’s 14 key initiatives unveiled at COP29, Yalchin Rafiev, Azerbaijan's chief negotiator at COP29 and Deputy Foreign Minister, said at a press conference on Tuesday.

The Azerbaijani government has proposed that the OPEC Fund participate in financing several renewable energy projects, including offshore wind energy development, green energy corridor initiatives, and a 1 GW project planned by SOCAR in partnership with the UAE-based company Masdar.
