Mubariz Gurbanli: there will order in cemeteries
The State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations (SCWRS) conducts a special program in the field of religious education, interview of the head of the SCWRS Mubariz Gurbanli with Turan. Commenting on the situation in the field of religious education, Gurbanli told about training experts in the field of religion on the faculty of theology of Baku State University, Institute of History and Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences. Commenting on calls of the SCWRS to eliminate wasteful during funerals Gurbanli said that in most regions of the country mourning is limited. Earlier mourning was observed within 40 days, but now Thursdays are canceled.
Funerals are modest, only tea is served, and it is hoped that sooner or later the practice of supplying food to the funeral will be canceled.
Referring to the situation in cemeteries, the head of the State Committee reported that a bill that is submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers which regulates the installation of gravestones monuments, which will be standard, and will not differ from each other.
The bill regulates the issues of burial of lonely people, martyrs, public and political figures. Creation of private and paid cemeteries is not provided. Soon, grandiose tombstones which are contrary to Islamic tradition will not appear, he added. -03B/16-
