Azercell helps promote local science
The local mobile operator and Internet service provider Azercell, together with the Foundation for Development of Civil Research, noted the project " Solar cells are a new generation of " Research Institute of Radiation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan ( NANA ) .
It was awarded second place and a cash prize in the competition organized by the mentioned organizations. According to the Institute, under the current project there have been created highly thin film solar cells (chemical composition of Cd1-xMnxTe). They are , according to experts, compact, resistant to radiation and sudden changes in temperature. In addition, they are cheap to produce - their competitive cost price coupled with excellent quality (with a reasonable approach officials and industrial production volumes available) will allow the institution to earn money for the development . - 17D-
