Azercell representatives take part in the World Congress of mobile technology
On 25 February in Barcelona started the World Congress of mobile technologies (Mobile World Congress). At this prestigious event was attended by leading mobile operators, ICT companies and telecom industry leaders from around the world. Azerbaijan represented at this important event by staff of Azercell Telecom.
As stated in the press release of the company, during the four-day congress discussed the main trends of the rapidly growing market for mobile technology. According to tradition, Mobile World Congress covers the latest technological innovations, new ideas and future projects in this sector.
At more than 40 sessions of the Congress, a platform was founded for exchange of views on the prospects for mobile communications, application of new technologies and other issues. On panel sessions of the Congress managers and experts from leading companies around the world presented their views on the current problems in the field of mobile technology and the ways of their solution.
Interactive sessions are devoted to discussions of the development of mobile Internet, entertainment, innovation in the field of telecommunications, the creation of start-up and other issues.
Representatives of Azercell annually participate in these exhibitions to share information about the development of the telecommunications sector in Azerbaijan, as well as to discuss the achievements and innovations used here.
The press release noted that the Mobile World Congress is held every year in February in Barcelona. Along with Congress, also organized an exhibition, which brings together iconic of the mobile industry with its latest innovations. Each year, the exhibitions are presented innovations in the use of mobile technology in healthcare, financial and banking sector, as well as in many other industries. Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
