Azercell Telecom Expands Introduction of Innovative Technologies
The leading local mobile operator LLC Azercell Telecom intends to expand its activities in the territory of Azerbaijan.
According to the report the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT), it was announced at a meeting of Minister Ali Abbasov with representatives of the company Telia Sonera, which includes Azercell Telecom. "The meeting discussed proposals for the implementation of additional measures for the expansionof Azercell Telecom in Azerbaijan and to continue the implementation of technology innovation and efficient services by the company," the information says.
The Vice-President of Telia Sonera, the head of the delegation for relations with government agencies and the public Kell Lindstrom, acting President of Azercell Telecom Vahid Mursaliyev and Technical Director Michael Forsberg discussed the prospects of mobile communications sector and related technical issues, as well as directions for future cooperation with Azerbaijan.
They stressed the importance of continuing to improve the quality of mobile services and expand the types of services, as well as the introduction of LTE technology provided by Azercell in remote areas of the country. Also highlighted was the need to strengthen work on the creation of a stable, reliable and high-quality mobile network in preparation for the first European Games Baku-2015. --17D-

At today’s session of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s parliamentarians discussed and approved in the first reading a draft law increasing the minimum subsistence level for 2025.
