Azerkosmos to Strengthen at More than 23 Million Manat
The State Securities Committee (SSC) has registered the issue prospectus of ordinary registered uncertified shares of Azerkosmos totaling 23.6 million manat.
According to the official information, the issue includes 1,180,530 shares at par value of 20 manat. After placement of securities the authorized capital of the governmental structure will increase from 63,610,600 to 87,221,200 manat.
Azerkosmos JSC was established in accordance with the order of the President of Azerbaijan on 03 May 2010 in order to launch into orbit a telecommunications satellite, and provide the management and implementation of operational works. The shares are state-owned.
The satellite operator of Azerbaijan provides digital television services, data transmission, and creation of multiservice networks VSAT through the use of telecommunications satellite Azerspace / Africasat-1a.
Launch of the first satellite of Azerbaijan was carried out on 8 February 2013. The satellite is located at the orbital position of 46 degrees east longitude. The service area Azerspace / Africasat-1a includes countries of Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa. --17D-
