Baku to Host Azerbaijani-Polish Business Forum
Baku in the framework of the 7th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Poland Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation on December 15 will host a business forum, which is expected to involve representatives of about 30 Polish companies, according to the Foundation to encourage exports and investment in Azerbaijan .
During the first 9 months of this year, Polish companies exported to Azerbaijan goods worth $ 49.6 million. Exports of Azeri production in Poland amounted to three times less - $ 13.3 million, reported the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan exports consist mainly of propylene (16,489 tons), nuts (65 tons), fruit juices (590.1 tons), kerosene (204.3 tons) and aluminum plates (16 tons). The range of goods from Poland is much broader and includes more than 550 names. This is mainly food, personal care products, petroleum products, metals, wood, pulp and paper industry, clothing and so on.
It should be emphasized that, as with many other countries, there is a significant difference on the “mirror statistics” of foreign trade relations between Azerbaijan and Poland.
According to the Central Statistical Office of Poland, in 2013, Azerbaijan imported goods worth over $ 20 million, while exports of Polish goods to our country were valued at $ 129,265,000, which respectively 2 and 2.7 times was higher than declared on Azerbaijani customs rates (exports - $ 10.2 million and imports - $ 46.4 million.).
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan represented by Azerkimya SOCAR exports to Poland propylene that costs an average of $ 604.4, while Poland takes this product at $ 1,275.7 per ton (data for 2013). It is about 13,600 tons of propylene. The deviation is about $ 8 million. –08B--
