Azersun Holding to build a logistics center in Kazakhstan
In Baku Business Center was signed a memorandum of understanding between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan on the construction of the Center in Aktau production and logistics.
The local economic bloc was represented by the Fund Export and Investment Promotion (AZPROMO) Ministry of Economic Development, as well as Azersun Holding Ltd. The interests of Kazakhstan were represented by Morport Aktau free economic zone.
The construction was taken by Azersun Holding, which has interests in the transport of oil and oil products on the Caspian Sea.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the implementation of the investment project will strengthen the economic and trade relations between the two countries, expand the geography of exports of local products, to develop a regional transport infrastructure. The share of regional transportation will also increase, according to the Ministry of Economic Development. - 17D-

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
