Azerbaijan intends to invest 1 or 2 billion USD in various sectors of the Afghan economy. The Azerbaijani Ambassador to Afghanistan, Dashghin Shikarov, stated this in an interview with the Afghan resource www.ariannews.af.
According to him, five years ago, an Azerbaijani investor invested 30 million USD in the oil sector of Afghanistan. Due to this investment, a refinery was built in Mazar-e-Sharif, processing 500 tons of crude oil daily.

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
