Azerbaijan and the United States are negotiating a direct air communication , told the U.S. Ambassador in Baku Richard Morningstar.
"I can not say exactly when direct flights between Baku and Washington will start.
However, I can say that negotiations are underway and work is done on the issue of licenses and certificates in the field of aviation safety. We sum up the work on the agreement "Open Skies", which will provide the legal basis for establishing a direct flight soon," said Morningstar .
The diplomat noted that he personally felt the safety and comfort of the Azerbaijani aircraft.
"I am personally committed repeatedly to flights with "Azerbaijan Airlines". I believe that this company works very well in this area," continued the Ambassador. -03C06--
