Baku to discuss the possibility of expanding ties with the Istanbul Stock Exchange
Azerbaijan and Turkey have great potential in the area of capital markets, the realization of which were discussed on 20 October in Baku Stock Exchange at a meeting with the Executive Deputy Chairman of the Istanbul Stock Exchange, Mustafa Yilmaz.
According to BSE, BSE chairman Fariz Azizov held an exchange of views with the Turkish delegation at the current level of bilateral cooperation. They focused on expanding trade securities using trading platforms of BSE and the Istanbul Stock Exchange, the exchange of experience, as well as to attract new investors to the capital markets.
BSE was established in 2000, and since then Istanbul Stock Exchange has been a shareholder with a 4.76% share. BSE has 20 shareholders. --08D--

Azerbaijan is poised to increase wheat imports for the 2024-2025 season following a significant drop in domestic wheat production this year. According to data from the State Statistics Committee, the country harvested 1.68 million tons of wheat in 2024, marking an 8.1% decline from the previous year. Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) has announced the restructuring of its container transportation management in an effort to enhance the efficiency of transit cargo transportation. As part of this reorganization, ADY Express will merge with ADY Container starting on November 1, 2024.
