Baku to host exhibition of Chinese companies' products
Baku/23.08.23/Turan: "Baku Exhibition Centre" will host the second "World Trade Expo Azerbaijan & China Created Fair" on 28-30 September, where about 120 Chinese companies are expected to participate.
Note that companies from China will present their products in at least 10 areas, including textiles and clothing, construction materials and machinery, industrial and mechanical equipment, consumer electronics and appliances, auto parts and accessories, irrigation systems, etc., Agil Babayev, director of the International Club of Manufacturers, Exporters and Importers, involved in organising the exhibition, told Turan.
"The first exhibition of Chinese companies WTCA 2022 held in Baku in October last year can't quite be considered a success: Due to the closure of borders in China at that time, representatives of participating companies were unable to personally participate in the exhibition and many companies at this exhibition were forced to be represented by their representatives in the CIS countries. Now the situation has been normalised and Azerbaijani businessmen will have direct meetings with them to establish and expand trade relations with China," Agil Babayev said. Chinese companies are looking for wholesale buyers, partners and distributors in Azerbaijan.
The exhibition is also organised by "Shanghai Kanchen Exhibition Co" LTD.
According to the State Customs Committee, in the first 7 months of this year, the volume of imports of goods to Azerbaijan from China totalled $1 billion 556.2 million, which is up by 39% from the comparable period of 2022. The specific weight of goods from China in Azerbaijan's imports during this period totalled 16.28 per cent. -08B-
