Baltika-Baku Company Renamed into Carlsberg Azerbaijan
The day before, it was decided to rename the company Baltika-Baku into Carlsberg Azerbaijan, the company said.
“This step is carried out with a view to further integration of the company into the Carlsberg Group, part of which is the brewery in Azerbaijan, and unification of the corporate identity with other companies of the Group. The legal form and details of the company are not changed, except for the name.
The company does not stop its activities and will continue to fulfill all its obligations. All rights and obligations of the LLC Baltika-Baku will be transferred to the legal successor - Open Company Carlsberg Azerbaijan,” the press release stated.
* The factory is located in the Khirdalan city, 10 kilometers from the capital of Azerbaijan. It is part of Carlsberg Group since 2008, and in May 2009 the plant was opened after reconstruction. As the leader of the brewing industry of the country with about 75% market share, the company is one of the largest non-raw-material enterprises of the Azerbaijan Republic and a place of work for hundreds of people.
By paying the annual tax charge of 15-20 million AZN and thanks to the fully transparent conduct of business in 2015, the company received the status of "tax partner" of the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan. Production capacity - 10 million deciliters a year. The company provides jobs for about 190 people and about 400 indirectly (distributors, agents, contractors). The total amount of investment in the development of the plant is more than 47 million AZN. The company produces popular brands of beer such as Khirdalan, Tuborg, Baltika 7, Baltika 0, Baltika 9, Khirdalan Draft, Cooler, Efsane, and Zhiguli.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
