Ban on Duty-free Gold and Diamonds
The government has officially set a limit for individuals carrying gold and diamonds in their baggage through customs.
The Cabinet decision to amend the "Rules of the simplified movement of goods by individuals not intended for industrial or commercial purposes through the customs border of Azerbaijan" has been published in the official press. According to the document, no more than 20 grams of gold and gold products can be carried through customs for personal use without paying duties from today on. The same applies to diamonds - but not more than 0.5 carats.
The supplement has been included in the list, which features restrictions on cigarettes (600 pieces), alcoholic beverages (3 liters) and fuel for cars provided by the technical passport. --17D-
