In the foreign exchange auction on Monday, commercial banks of Azerbaijan purchased a record low volume of currency - only 11.9 million US dollars.
As stated in the report of the Central Bank, the State Oil Fund (SOFAZ) put 150 million USD on the foreign exchange auction, but nine banks only purchased 11.9 million USD.
The purchase price is not specified, but the Central Bank exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.6411 AZN as of today. -02D-
