BP becomes shareholder of TANAP project
BP, operator of the Shah Deniz project, has become an equal shareholder of the trans-Anadolu pipeline (TANAP).
A source from TANAP A.S. company told Turan that this happened on April 16, 2015.
“Prior to that BP company has passed all the stages and signed all necessary juridical documents to join the project,” said the same source.
On March 12, 2015 TANAP A.S. and BP signed the shareholder agreement in Ankara, according to which British company has obtained the right to become TANAP shareholder.
At present BP already has 12% share in the gas pipeline project. Its partners are SOCAR with 58% share and Turkish BOTAS with 30% share.
Cost of TANAP project with the initial carrying capacity of 16 billion cub.m. is estimated at about $12 billion.—0—
