Cash in Circulation Decreased by 37.4% in H1, 2015
The volume of cash in circulation by the end of the first half of 2015 amounted to 6 billion 355.6 million manats (minus 37.4% to 1 January). The money supply in broad definition also reduced, including cash, time deposits and demand deposits, which stood at 18 billion 849.4 million manats (minus 12.6%), according to the information on the website of the Central Bank of AR ( CBA).
This 90.2% increase in foreign currency deposits, mainly in US dollars, amounted to 7 billion 857.6 million manats. The share of this segment in the structure of broad money by July 1 was 41.68%. --17D-
