Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Extends Condolences to Turkey Over Tragic Hotel Fire
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister JeyhunBayramov expressed condolences to his Turkish counterpart, HakanFidan, on Monday following a tragic fire at a hotel in Turkey's Kartalkaya mountain ski resort in Bolu province.
In a statement, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Bayramov conveyed his sympathies over the incident, which claimed lives and left several injured. He offered prayers for the deceased, wished strength to their families, and a swift recovery to those injured.
The Azerbaijani minister emphasized his country’s solidarity with Turkey during this difficult time, sharing in the sorrow of its close ally. Bayramov also expressed hope that such tragedies would not be repeated and assured Turkey of Azerbaijan’s readiness to provide any necessary assistance.
Turkish Foreign Minister HakanFidan thanked Bayramov for the condolences and support extended by Azerbaijan, appreciating the expression of solidarity during this challenging moment.
The fire, which broke out at the ski resort hotel, has left the nation in mourning, with investigations into its cause underway.
