CBA Sells 153.6 Million AZN to Banks in H1 of February
Today (15 February), the Central Bank held a regular currency auction, which offered commercial banks 200 million US dollars.
The CBA reports that 10 banks participated in the auction. They requested for the purchase of $ 32.1 million. The applications were fully satisfied.
$ 153.6 million was sold at auctions from February 1 to 15.
CBA currency auctions are held after the announcement of the AZN floating rate regime on December 21, 2015. Only in January the foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank reduced by $618.2 million and amounted to $ 4,398.5 million by early February. -------08B

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
