Chartis Azerbaijan gradually withdrawn premiums on fire insurance
BAKU/14.10.13/TURAN : The insurance company Chartis Azerbaijan ( formerly AIG Caspian) in the first three quarters of this year collected premiums of AZN 730.43 million , which is almost half that of last year.
For the local market, this result, however, in contrast to the "patronized' organizations, is not bad. This year, it lost her LCA travel insurance and liability insurance of vehicle owners , as well as a package of compulsory insurance. However, it is the second consecutive year collected premiums for insurance against fraud in business (3.85 thsd AZN ) and professional ( 221.12 thsd AZN ) responsibility.

Premiums for compulsory insurance, in contrast to the first three quarters of the year before last (103.85 thousand manats) for two years are no longer collected.
Payments to insurance companies in January-September amounted to 395.82 million manat - 7 times more than last year.

Previously, instead there were a subsidiary of AIG (American International Group), providing services of general insurance (other than life insurance) in Azerbaijan.
Now, instead of an organization with 49 per cent of the British American capital the structure has 100% of foreign ( English ) capital (filed October 15, 2010 ), which nominally provides services for 10 types of insurance.
The authorized capital of the company amounts to 6 million 786,5 thousand manats.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
