The State Statistics Committee (SSC) has completed a pilot agricultural census in Guba district, which covered only a small part of its territory.
In the SSC department of agricultural statistics they told Turan that the census covered 2,000 agricultural entities (and family farms) and 7 agricultural enterprises. The census was attended by 30 people.
On the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the general agricultural census was taken in December 2013. The document provides for implementation of the process from 1st to 30th June 2015. As the Committee totally estimated, in Azerbaijan there are more than 1.3 million households engaged in agricultural production. The census results will be summarized in 6 months.
