Confiscated property of former head of executive power put up for auction
Baku/23.08.23/Turan: The State Property Service announced an auction on September 22 for the sale of private property confiscated in favor of the state. Among them is a part of the property confiscated in 2022 by a court decision, owned by the former head of the executive power of the Neftchala region, Ismayil Veliyev, who has been serving a prison sentence since 2020.
According to the SPS information https://emlak.gov.az/az/news/view/8183-22-sentyabr-2023-ci-il-tarixind%C9%99-saat-11:00-da-h%C9%99rraca-%C3%A7%C4%B1xar%C4%B1lacaq-x%C3%BCsusi-m%C3%BCsadir%C9%99-edilmi%C5%9F-%C9%99mlaklar%C4%B1n-siyah%C4%B1s%C4%B1 , three real estate objects located in the Gobustan region will be sold under the hammer. Total starting cost of the objects is estimated at 295.000 manats ($173.500). This is a non-residential premises with an area of 243.3 m2, an individual house with an area of 151.5 m2 and a property complex of 2,302.1 m2.
It ought to be noted that the SPS' message about the auction does not mention the fact of this property being linked to a name of the former official. The Turan agency established this by analyzing media publications about the list of confiscated real estate of former officials.
Worthy of note is that a total of 12 real estate objects of Ismail Veliyev were confiscated in favor of the state. Among them, in addition to the above, there are 4 apartments and one non-residential premises in Baku, a mansion in Ganja, an individual house in the village of Mereze in Gobustan region, 4 real estate objects in Neftchala region, etc.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
