Smuggling of 19kg of drugs and psychotropic substances from Iran cut off
Baku/23.08.23/Turan: Bilasuvar police officers detained residents of Astara region Elchin Abilov, Orkhan Gambarov and Elshan Babayev on the Alyat-Astara highway during the operation. They seized 17kg of narcotics (4kg of heroin, 3kg of methamphetamine, 10kg of opium), the Interior Ministry's regional press service group reported.
The press-service added that during another operation, Baku resident Kenan Alizadeh was detained, from whom about 2kg of methamphetamine was seized.
The detainees testified that they are drug couriers, and the drugs are received from suppliers in Iran. Investigation is underway on the facts. -06В-
