Contradictory Statistics about New Jobs
Within nine months of 2014 in Azerbaijan there were opened 100,056 new jobs, of which 82 177 were permanent. The bulk of the proclaimed jobs accounted for by so-called natural persons.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 70.6% of new jobs this year were opened in the country. In the first period of implementation of the program of development of regions the share of Baku in the structure of jobs did not exceed 10%.
It is noteworthy that the government, through its propaganda mouthpiece - the State Committee of Statistics announces the establishment of 470 959 new jobs since 2009 during the Second State Program, of which 358 243 are classified constant. However, according to the same statistical reports, the number of employed people in the economy of the country was 4,215,500 people at the end of 2008. In the third quarter of this year their number reached 4,582,500, an increase to 367,000 since 2009.
Additionally during this period (2009-2014) the number of employees grew by only 97,100 and reached 1,507,400 people to the top of October. --08B--
