DemirBank ranked first in corporate governance standards
DemirBank ranked first in corporate governance standards according to the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Republic. The evaluation was a rating of 33 companies, and DemirBank took first place with 98.5% of the list.
When having regard transparency, access to information, the publication of annual and other reports, the rights of shareholders, dividends, capital raising, management structure and other factors. The Bank's shares are also included in the quotation of the first level of the Baku Stock Exchange.
It should be noted that DemirBank in 2010 following a study conducted by an international agency Standard & Poor's in Standards of Corporate Governance, was among the top 5 banks in the country for transparency and disclosure.
DemirBank emphasizes the introduction and development of corporate governance standards. In recent years have been carried out various activities and projects for the development of corporate governance. The bank also benefit from technical support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Finance Corporation, USAID and other international organizations. These studies cover strategic planning, risk management, internal audit, financial management and reporting, human resources, information technology and other areas of activity.
