Deposit Auction Oversubscribed by 18 Million Manat
On the deposit auction of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan the demand was 218 million manat at the supply of 200 million manat.
The funds were raised for a period of 14 days, at the weighted average rate of 14.79%.
Deposit auctions are an anti-inflation tool.
The Central Bank since June 2016 has carried out deposit auctions. According to international practice, the main purpose of deposit auctions is the sterilization of money supply. At the time of deposit auctions the Central Bank receives commercial banks' deposits for placement. -----71D

Discussions were held in Baku within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, focusing on the "Decarbonization and Climate Adaptation of the Cotton-to-Clothing Value Chain." Among other topics, the state of cotton farming in Azerbaijan was also addressed.

Azerbaijan has attracted significant interest from companies in both developing and developed countries, as well as from state and private sector representatives of at least 10 nations, regarding participation as shareholders in the Climate Finance Action Fund (CFAF), which has a total budget of $1 billion.
