Dollar Rises on Foreign Exchange Auction
The US dollar has risen on the Central Bank currency auction again. The auction began with a rate of AZN 1.7525 and ended with AZN 1.7570 per US dollar.
Due to the non-transparent information policy of the Central Bank, it is not possible to find out the volume of demand and supply of the foreign currency. The dollar has been growing since mid October.
The commercial banks’ dollar selling rate exceeds AZN 1.8. In the "black market" the sales rate is close to 2 manat per dollar. -71D-
