Eight-month Inflation Rate - 10.8%
In January-August 2016 inflation in Azerbaijan totaled 10.8%, the State Statistics Committee.
According to official figures, food prices rose on average by 12.2% in comparison with the same period in 2015. Non-food products rose by 15.6%, and paid services rose by 4.9%.
In August, the "march" of deflation finished due to the finish of the summer season and 0.5% inflation was recorded. Food has risen in price by 0.6%, non-food products - by 0.5%, tariffs and prices for services – by 0.4%.
According to SSC estimates, in August, the tariffs for paid education, foreign travel services for air and rail transport increased. -----08D
