Established a credit institution for poor families
Azerbaijan creates another non-bank credit organization - Vision Fund Azer Credit. Its owner and founder in order to help low-income population is the humanitarian organization, World Vision International (WVI). The country now has 158 micro-finance organizations.
As the director of WVI for the South Caucasus Hans Bederski said, their realized micro-credit program finally turned into a non-bank credit organization. "The credit portfolio of the organization is $ 76 million. The client base is 76 000 people in all regions of Azerbaijan. On average, the organization contributes to the well-being of 150,000 children," he said during the presentation.
According to the reports of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, while in the fourth quarter of 2009, 96 NBCIs worked in Azerbaijan, by the end of the second quarter of 2014, there were 157. --17D-

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
