Deflation over on statistics
Even the State Committee on Statistics recognizes the seasonal nature of local deflation. By the end of August for the first time since May officially recorded was zero growth in the consumer price index (CPI).
According to the State Statistics Committee, last month, food prices fell by 0.1% (in July was minus 2% compared to June). Non-food products rose slightly (0.2% compared to July). Fees for services have not changed, as, indeed, for the entire summer season.
Official statistics also noticed cheaper consumer basket by 0.1%. How could this happen on a background of rising food prices in August, agricultural products, including - is unclear. That's what the statistics to give out numbers that can not afford the perception of the public. --17D-

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
