The European Union is looking for opportunities for the construction of a gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to Europe with the involvement of European companies, stated the EU ambassador to Ashgabat Denis Daniilidis.
According to Reuters, European Commission Vice President Maroš Šefčovič plans to visit Turkmenistan in the coming months for the resumption of negotiations on the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline.
"During the negotiations with our Turkmen partners we came to the conclusion that it is necessary to find out how to attract EU companies to buy Turkmen gas to the European market," said Šefčovič.
