Forty three bus routes will be eliminated in Baku
As a result of next stage of optimization this year, 43 bus routes in Baku will be eliminated. On 1 December, the Ministry of Transport has started the next phase of optimization of bus routes in Baku. In December 2011, 93 bus routes were eliminated.
Currently, there are 217 in Baku bus routes. The Ministry of Transport plans to reduce them to 174. The Ministry of Transportation has not reported yet a specific period of transition to the new scheme of bus routes. Contrary to the rules of the Cabinet of Ministers, on the organization of the passenger traffic in 2010, the Ministry of Transport provides bus routes for transportation companies without a contest.
Passengers usually learn about the next action of the Ministry of Transport in the streets from dispatchers and drivers. There is not any information on the website of the Ministry. There is not even a web resource of the State Service on road transport.
According to the Ministry of Transportation, in 2012, 200 large buses were on line, and 250 buses of medium capacity. For the beginning of 2013, there are 2,321 buses, including 1423 large buses, 985 medium buses, and 14 small buses. --08D--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
