Ganja Prepares for Status of European Youth Capital
The managers of Ganja after the city's election as the European Capital of Youth in 2016 announced plans to open new production sites.
According to the report on the website of the city's executive power on behalf of the Head of Executive Power Elmar Valiyev, in the second quarter the foundations of five new plants will be laid, which means the creation of about 6.5 thousand jobs. The construction of a new brick factory and the Ganja train depot, which will be commissioned in 2017, has already started, he said at a meeting with the youth of the city.
Recall, November 21 last year, Ganja was elected European Capital of Youth 2016, beating Vilnius (Lithuania), Varna (Bulgaria), Galway (Ireland), La Laguna and Badajoz (Spain) in the fight for the title.
The title European Youth Capital is awarded to the city for a year, during which it has the opportunity for young people to carry out cultural, sporting, social and political events. - 17D-
