In January, the volume of gross domestic product amounted to 5 billion 233.1 million manat, an increase year on year in comparable prices by 0.8%, according to the January 17 statement of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
The share of non-oil sector in GDP structure was in the first month 56.3% (AZN 2 billion 947 million). At the same time it increased by 1.5% in the non-oil sector.
GDP per capita in January amounted to approximately 540 manat, by 0.3% less than in January 2016. ----08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
