Human rights groups reported to pardon 27 political prisoners

The group of human rights activists presented to the Commission on the Prerogative of Mercy, and a joint working group on Human Rights a list of 27 political prisoners. This is done in order to include them in the expected order of pardon to the Novruz holiday,  Turan was told by the head of the Azerbaijan National Committee of Helsinki Civil Assembly Arzu Abdullayeva. The list is made with Arzu Abdullayeva, Novella Jafaroglu, Saida Gojamanli, Avaz Hasanov and Mirvari Gahramanli.

 
Abdullayeva explained that the list includes those politically motivated persecution which did not cause doubt by local and international human rights organizations, representatives of the Council of Europe. The talk is about  "prisoners of conscience", recognized by Amnesty International, for which there are decisions of the ECHR, she said. In particular, the leader of the movement REAL Ilgar Mamedov, journalist Seymour Hazy, youth activists of NIDA - Ilkin Rustamzade, Giyas Ibrahimov, Bayram Mammadov, Elgiz Gahramanli, bloggers Abdul Abilov, Rashad Agaaddin, Rovshan and Rufat Zahidov (relatives Ganimat Zahid), activists of PFPA - Elvin Abdullayev and Murad Adilov, Ahmadli Fuad, Fuad Gahramanli, treasurer of the newspaper "Azadlig" Faig Amirov, the ex-minister Ali Insanov.
 
Commenting on  at the request of Turan  the lists of political prisoners from various human rights groups, Abdullayev said that if present to pardon 90 or 160 persons, "they will not be released." "We have included famous faces. Those who personally know the case, which was investigated by journalists and human rights activists.
 
The list could be more extensive. However, there is no consensus among local  and international organizations. Of course, they are all worthy of protection and  are being protected. Therefore, we have included those which until now have received international support for the protection of which joined the Council of Europe, Amnesty International, there ECHR decision. We  have come to an agreement among ourselves on these persons, and at the first stage   have submitted their names," said Abdullayeva.-06B--
