Gilan Holding Creates Companies on Technology and Trade
The financial and industrial group Gilan Holding continues the course of a diversified development through the creation of new companies. Last week it created two more companies with its participation.
According to the state register of commercial legal entities on July 29 the companies Gilan Tech and Gilan Trading were registered with authorized capital of 100 manat each. Both companies are located in the business center of Gilan Holding Capital Towers. Director of the Company is the same man - Jeyhun Safarov.
Note that Gilan is represented in technology and trade by several companies. Only in the area of trade, there are at least four companies: Gilan Retail Group, Gilan Satish, Gilan-Ulker Trading and Benkons. The latter began operations in 2008 and cooperates with more than 40 companies from 30 countries based on official and exclusive distribution agreements. Benkons portfolio includes over 200 products of food industry: fruit drinks, soda and mineral water, dairy products, baby food, snacks, and non-food products. In Azerbaijan Benkons represents the goods of companies such as Vitmark (Ukraine), Aslanoba Gida, Ulker Group (Turkey), Herman Pfanner (Austria), Savushkin Product (Belarus), Rokiskio Suris (Lithuania), Diwisa (Switzerland), Aqua Minerale San Benedetto (Italy), Lausitzer Food (Germany), and Latfood (Latvia). Since 2011, the company is a strategic partner of PepsiCo International in Azerbaijan and has franchising in the production and distribution of carbonated products PepsiCo International.
Gilan Holding is owned by the brothers Taleh and Nijat Heydarov, the sons of the Minister of Emergency Situations. In terms of wealth, this family is the second one only after the ruling family Pashayevs. ---- 08B

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
